The early church, guided by the Holy Spirit, selected the writings that were inspired and placed them together to form the Bible. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, worth to be studied and applied to our lives. We therefore put an emphasis on Bible Study.
Sunday Adult Class The Bible Study class meets every Sunday morning from 8:45-10:00 a.m., and discusses a wide range of topics. Please speak with Deacon Bob Blythin for more information.
St. Matt's Moms Group - Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Designed as a support to the many mothers in our parish and school, this group will is a weekly time of Bible Study and encouragment. In a world that seems to have gone crazy, it is important to have others that can walk along side us as we raise our children. This group is currently studying the book of Proverbs. Seeking God's wisdom is the beginning place for Mothers. Childcare for infants and toddlers is provided for this group. Talk to Lisa Marion for more information.
Tuesday Home Groups - Evening Prayer and Bible Study
Our Home Group Bible Studies are starting up for a fifteen-week pre-lent and lenten session. Our Home Groups are held all over Orange County; from Fullerton to Mission Viejo and from Long Beach to Newport Beach.
These groups allow us closer relationships and a deeper understanding of our faith, in small personal groups. During this Eastertide season we will take a nine-week survey of the book of Hebrews. Call the office to locate a Home Group near you. 949-219-0911.
Thursday Morning Communion and Bible Study
Thursday mornings begin with Morning Prayer at 9:15, then proceeds on at 9:30 a.m. for Holy Communion, and Bible Study begins after that service, usually around 10:15 a.m. Join us for part or all of this mornings offerings. The Bible Study will mirror the Tuesday Home Groups' study of the book of Hebrew. We're happy to announce that Childcare is once again provided for this study.
Friday SUNG Morning Prayer
The Office of SUNG Morning Prayer begins at 6:30 a.m. Coffee and bagels follow in the Parish Hall. Please join us!
